Who Are We?
We are an independent provider of supported living and outreach services for complex individuals. We believe that people with disabilities and behaviours that may challenge are entitled to lives which are as full as anyone else’s. We use a positive behaviour support (PBS) approach and believe that all behaviours are a form of communication. At Care Support MK, the involvement of friends and family is a crucial part of ensuring those we support are happy, supported in a way they prefer and remain part or their wider communities as much as possible.
What makes us different?
Care Support MK was established in 2012 by John and Julia Frank who had a vision to provide a local community care to adults who would have otherwise be supported outside the county or in a hospital setting. After John completing a Board-Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst programme from University of Cardiff, he went further to achieve a second degree (MSc) in Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour. Also, as a graduate in Social Care (BA), he was devoted to ensuring the best possible care in the community for all.
Rebekah Price joined Care Support MK in 2020 having worked as a Social Care Manager for a local authority, overseeing a multidisciplinary team for a number of years. A Registered Social Worker since 2007, with over 15 years experience in assessing and supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and autism, she is passionate in supporting individuals and their support networks to ensure their voices are heard and they achieve positive outcomes in all areas of their lives.
Both John and Rebekah also remain committed to support our staff as well as the people we support. Care Support MK started as a family business and despite our growth, it’s a culture we are proud to say we maintain. Such visions have led to innumerable success in Milton Keynes and now this is being replicated in neighbouring counties.
What do people say about us?
“Care Support are very caring and understanding because they are honest with service users and they help them to understand things” KB (Service User)

“One of the things that drew me to CSMK was knowing that most of the staff had been employed there for a long time, and turnover of staff leaving was not high. It has been reassuring to know that my young adult has a good consistency of support staff which they adore which in turn has made them much more settled.
No service is 100{7f3a0dbcef1879d4fe2d920e28709d64dbed4ccc230e77e66995c3f049f6440b} perfect but any problems or queries I have are always answered promptly and without judgement. It is so good to know that as a parent, you feel able to raise any concerns you have, big or small and that they will be listened to.
I feel that my opinion is important to CSMK and I am often asked for my views or input into my child’s care, something that definitely does not happen in every service.
The CSMK parties are great and a good way to meet everyone.” HE (Parent)

“I love being part of CSMK, everyone is very nice and I have lots of friends. I like going to the office for coffee and to see head office staff. My staff that support me at home are very good and they help me with my cooking, shopping and money” AH (Service User)

“Our son had a very difficult time during the final few years at school due to poor staffing knowledge, which resulted in a serious safeguarding incident. When we were introduced to CSMK, they met two parents who were very concerned that no-one besides us could look after our son. We were aware that the company supports service users with complex issues but was that just a marketing ploy?!
We were pleasantly surprised on several fronts! From our initial meeting the entire team were very interested in meeting and understanding our son as they had a really good knowledge regarding his disability. They engaged us through every step, listened and responded quickly to concerns and were fully committed to providing a bespoke service wherever possible.
CSMK are interested in the whole family and really wants all carers to fit in well with the family’s needs, so the service user feels they are an extension of what they are comfortable with. When issues arise they are listened to and supported quickly. We have been with CSMK now a number of years and feel very confident that the knowledge, support and approach used with our son is very right for him.” Mr and Mrs Martin (Parents)

“I like Care Support because they help me keep safe and that’s important. Sometimes I’m not very good at making good choices but my staff help me to do the right thing and that makes me happy in the end” JC (Service User)
